Our esports program includes a state-of-the-art center, varsity teams, an 800+ member student club, and academic integration

Club and Community Play

Students interested in recreational esports can join our 500-member student-run club and enjoy open facility play. Club members are allocated free play time with access to computers to play their favorite games.

Varsity Team

In 2020 Ball State created its official varsity esports team, joining more than 300 colleges and universities to compete nationally in a fast-growing digital sport.

Esports Academics

The Esports Production concentration, as part of the Media Production concentration, delivers hands-on instruction for students to develop their skills in the field of esports media. Students will learn the history of esports, video production, streaming, and live event broadcasting.

Gen. G Global
Academy Partnership

Ball State University has formed a partnership with Gen.G Global Academy—a high-caliber international esports organization with competitive teams in South Korea, China, and the United States.

Our Partnerships-RLL Racing

Ball State University and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) announced a partnership that will provide provide a $5,000 scholarship to two members of Ball State’s varsity esports team.
